Depends which service you are getting. 170s now dominate the 'fast' trains but the stoppers can be anything (142/144/155 and 158).

I’ve been staying on the east coast this weekend and most Scarborough - Hull services were a 155 although and 150 and a 158 appeared. All Sheffield - Brid services seen were 170’s.

Must say, having worked 155’s on Calder Valley’s, Harrogates, Knottingley’s etc over the last 20 years it was nice to see them in a different area.

They're very common on Hull to York services too!
