The average time between application and starting training upon successful tests and interviews tends to be around 2.5 years, I know for some it is much quicker, but I also know that for some it was 4/5 years.

It’s a long old wait ! Fingers crossed for you mate. I think another comment on here suggested new year courses may have already been allocated !
