The latest Stagecoach allocation sheet for London (thanks - MBonwick) is showing a number of older Tridents as: -
'in preparation for Commonwealth Games'
I am guessing that they may be allocated to/maintained by Fife?
Anyone know anymore?

Would have thought Glasgow would be their base. Since the builders vacated their part of the yard at Blochairn there's plenty space...

Stagecoach has registered extra X24 journeys between Fife and Glasgow for games. So we could see on top of the 20min service, 4 ph to Glasgow.

Not sure whether it has been mentioned here, but 33434 and 33436 have made their way down south from Perth to join the Stagecoach East Midlands fleet at Lincoln. The plan appears to be that they will form part of the allocation for Newark outstation.

Am I right in thinking that 33434 was the original Goldie spare when Perth got their first batch of Goldie E300's?

I'm guessing the other dart (33435) is staying up in Perth?

Yes, 33434 is the former Goldline spare - quite luxurious for use on town routes in Newark!

Not heard that 33435 is joining the fleet, I think these are the only two Darts due - the rest are MANs from the North East and Aberdeen (I think!).

From reports it's better than some of the 'native' examples...

The X reg darts were originally Perth, and they went away elsewhere for a few years and a few of them came back.

With this being Perth, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they were to appear back there in the future...

33435 is being used by East Scotland as a float vehicle while E200s have warranty modifications carried out.

A London Trident has appeared at Blochairn complete with all roller blinds and other London stuff. Looks like it was used on route 51 (Woolwich - Orpington). I'm guessing this is one of the Tridents being used for the Games?

No, Its been said Stagecoach has lost a good amount of School work in North east fife, mainly due to the tighter competition from other companies. Stagecoach could do with freeing up space.

Dunfermline Town network is believed to be getting a overhaul.

Don't think so, two of them are now sitting there...

Noticed today that one of the ex Carlisle Darts (34696) is in Perth. It was doing a 34 from Perth out to Stanley/Bankfoot.

Is this an actual Perth vehicle or is it a Strathtay motor?

34696 has replaced the Dart at Blair, which is used on their 34 working.

Can't be many non-DDA darts left in service with East Scotland now....

I noticed that 33438 is still going around Perth, surely that must be popping off shortly as well?

I was quite shocked though to see so many R reg Oly's that are in Perth, I know they are mostly used on the school runs, but also they do service routes quite frequently as well. Perth & Kinross Council need to get an age limit in place like Fife Council have as that would force Perth to either transfer low floor motors from other depots or purchase new ones...

I suspect that some early Tridents will be heading up to Perth with the contract losses in Fife from summer.

Have the new North East Fife school tenders been announced yet?

I did read somewhere the Dunfermline town services were getting looked at. Some services are heaving at the same time others are empty.

Still un full London spec, a sister vehicle from 17515's batch, 17500, was spotted by myself at the SVBM today, parked behind the exhibition hall, and with no roller blinds, and still has East London legals, Stagecoach London fleetnames, and also East London O disc.
