Surprised it doesn't serve the industrial estate or railway station
D&G are rerouting their 37 service to serve Wharton and their 31 service to serve Glebe Green. The Railway Station already is served by the 37. So the Council-supported Stagecoach W7 is aimed at serving the streets with no replacement service, hence serving a similar route to the X31 in North West Winsford.
As the 37 is commercial, the council have to be careful to try and avoid the contracted service from competing with it.
The Industrial Estate won't have a bus service but that is not the populated area which requires a service.
A council can contract a bus service for work, healthcare, shopping and education needs.
Winsford will now have its longer distance routes with 1 operator and local service with another - which may impact connections as will require two separate tickets for the first time in numerous years
It might be a shock for some passengers that the Stagecoach day ticket fare will be £2 but the D&G single fare will be £2. Although, given the limited hours of the W7, you won't get far by making a connection if you want to return the same day. You can rule out getting buses from Over to get to the station for a day trip to Liverpool.
