Stockport platform 3 closed (5 August 2022)

Stockport platform 3, the down fast platform, has been closed for most or all of the day, Friday 5th. August.
Problem appears to be a "points failure" which I think will be at the Stockport No. 2 end, the down end, because bay platform 3A is also showing up as blocked on Open Train Times maps etc.
https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/302499.aspx says

A points failure at Stockport is causing disruption to journeys through the station.

Services may be cancelled, delayed by up to 15 minutes or diverted and not calling at Stockport.

We anticipate disruption will continue until the end of the day.

Fast services from the Crewe line (Avanti (when running, for example https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:G65094/2022-08-05/detailed#allox_id=0), Arriva Trains Wales) are generally using the Styal line and bypassing Stockport to cut down the number of trains required to use platform 4 at Stockport.

Thank you. Last train to use platform 3 was 1H13, yesterday's 21:36 Euston-Manchester which used it at around 00:30; I forgot to add that some down Sheffield services are also being diverted via Marple to avoid Stockport.

EDIT Liverpool-Norwich services have been cancelled in both directions between Liverpool & Sheffield also.

FURTHER EDIT: NRE saying that Transport for Wales services aren't calling at Stockport, but they are, in the up direction only, and NRE makes no mention of the down Avanti Crewe to Manchester services not calling.

Fixed by Saturday morning, platform 3 is back in use again today.
