LNER has reported this morning that there is disruption to services in the Edinburgh area due to wire damage. Looking at the track map, there has been a North Berwick-Edinburgh been sat at Musselburgh since 9am, and TPE & LNER trains sat behind it at Wallyford and Prestonpans. It states disruption is expected until the end of the day, which suggests it’s pretty major damage. Must be storm related surely.
“Damage to the overhead electric wires in the Edinburgh area is causing disruption to journeys running to / from this station.
As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 90 minutes or revised.
We anticipate disruption will continue until the end of the day.”
