Tapping in but not registering

Due to my quick jaunt up and back on the Elizabeth line I noticed I had a large charge pending on my credit card.

Now this was due to me crossing the platform at Paddington and returning straight to Liverpool St from whence I started.

However looking at my accounti saw there were multiple times over the past month where my tap in at my home station wasn’t registering

Its beeping with a green light and opening the gate, I’m confused and concerned

Any ideas?

Have you been overcharged when the touch hasn't happened? If it's your home station it's likely that the system may auto complete the journey. Other possible questions might be have you always used the same card or device? You can't mix a physical card with the same card under Apple pay.

If you can upload a copy of your journey history it might help to explain.

Having all these entries for the same card makes management of journeys longer

They have set me up with several refunds
