Streetlites 32260 & 32261 were transferred to DBNW (Bolton) yesterday to act as additional paint floats to cover Manchester based buses being repainted in to Bee Network Livery.
In addition, 2 x Streetdecks were brought back down from Manchester to the West Midlands & will be repainted in to Bee Network livery at Wilcox, Brownhills (Rotala's WM based painter)

40755 & 40766 are the two Streetdecks currently parked in Tividale Depot, West Midlands awaiting Bee Network Livery

Beat me to it!
Delivered back from Thorntons this morning is freshly refurbished 40729, complete with refreshed interior to the new spec!
40822 has gone the other way in return.

40729 looks pretty smart there! Is it defo 40822 that’s gone as I thought that was one of seven to go to West Midlands?
Also do you have anything in for repaint at BN (Bolton) this week?

Yep, I helped get it on the lorry!!!
I should have added that 40712 is the next one in for repaint but its alittle poorly at the minute so its causing us afew headaches!

Why is there a red sign that talks about the buses being Hydrogen powered and better for London’s roads? Is this not a Diamond Bus NW bus?Beat me to it!

39256 has gone to Bus & Coach World for repaint with 39244 arriving back in exchange freshly outshopped in Bee Network yellow.
39258 should depart on Monday for repaint at Reads in Oswaldtwistle.

In DBNW (Diamond Bus North West) news, 40740 is back from repaint at Blackburn.
40796 has also returned from having front end accident damage repaired.

Further updates from Bolton, 40776 and 40795 have returned from repaint but due to "operational difficulties" both are also out running with minimal lettering.
40823 is the next Thorntons returnee this morning with 40728 going in the opposite direction for full refurbishment.

Bolton repaint update, Streetdeck 40712 has been completed and returned to traffic following repairs.
It's place in the paintshop has been taken by Citaro 33024.

Thanks for the update. The report of 33024 getting repainted will stop whoever it is from deleting it from the bus times website just because it’s been VOR (Hopefully)

Thanks for that. Sorry what I meant was the extra vehicles that Go North West are currently bringing in for example the B9s from London etc which I’m presuming will go primarily to Wigan in September. Some of these have already been repainted and in service at the moment.
Also, not sure if the above list has changed as streetdecks 40822 is already in Bee livery with 40823 currently away for the same.

Morning,
I can pass on a message from my Hyde Road brethren that Enviro MMC 11507 has now been repainted yellow ahead of it's transfer to Queens Road/Oldham next year.
I've attached a photo of 11507, nor great but shows it in yellow in Hyde Road Garage. Hopefully I'll get a better picture sent to me later. Posted with full permission.
Note: Better photo now added.

Looks really good!
Quick one, is the font used on this for fleet numbers and the recent Go North West ones the new standard?
Also, have you anything new in the Bolton paint shop or is 33024 still in?

33024 has now exited the paintshop, to head back into the workshops to continue its rehabilitation.
We are actually using the rest of today to try and catch up with all the buses missing fleetnames and logos etc. 40740 and 40795 now both done, just waiting for the next one to roll in.
We should have another paint bus in tomorrow.
It's the same font but Stagecoach and Go North West seemed to have adopted larger ones for some reason...

33024 looks a lot better than it did a few weeks ago. Just need to pinch a Merc badge off one of the Preston scrappers

Go North West are bringing in 59/60/61/12 plate double deckers ex London + 60/10 & 12 plate Volvo B7RLE / Citaro / E200's.Nice to see those brand new 11 year old busesIs there any age limits to the fleet you can use under the new contracts? I would have thought those 62 plates are already 2/3 of their useful heavy city usage life.
I believe the age limit is 16 years old.

That some how looks quite smart with the back contrasting the yellow.
That seems rather high, I would have thought ten would have been better. I suppose it is due to cost and encouraging bus companies to bid. I also get they can't get brand new buses over night but I think image is important to a point too. If this flagship scheme ends up being full of smoking old bangers questions might get asked. I sometimes travel on 58 plate E400's and they are feeling old and tatty now despite the fact they have been well maintained. I suppose some of the older buses might be used less frequently e.g in rush hour.

Buses are generally depreciated over 15 to 17 years so it makes sense that the age limit is similarly aligned.
If you ensure at least one midlife repaint and internal refurbishment a 15 year old bus can still look respectable.
The Citaros have long since left the Deepdale site.

Due to commercial reasons, we'll be repainting some buses for Preston Bus going forwards, unsure for how long for but obviously no longer than end of September.
Streetdeck 40724 returned from Blackburn this afternoon and 40770 went in the opposite direction.
Preston Bus is due a Major depot revamp "Soon" so they could install at paint boot at Preston or get them done at Blackburn bus & coach world

More yellow Streetdecks returned to the road are 40724/39/86 all branded in full livery.

40704 is possibly going today, the others haven't been done that I know about...
31407/15 are currently in the depot...

Thanks for the confirmation and knew that would be the case. Just wish people would wait for official confirmation from those like yourself who are involved!
Someone has done the same for Go North West 4021 presumably because 4020/2 have been repainted.
