A quick question about the original Thames Trains livery. I've seen pictures of the operator's class 166 units - in blue and white livery with green doors - carrying the Thames Trains logo and 'Express' branding. Did the 165s carry this branding as well, or just the logo? I know both were 90 mph capable, but only the 166s had air-conditioning, so were possibly considered more suitable for longer distance 'express' services.

Grateful for any info.

Colin

165s had round markings on the door, rather than the swoop of the 166s.

Only 166s carried the Express branding.

There should be plenty of pictures.
