If you said "Finningley Airport" a week within it opening, I really wouldn't have a clue where it was. The Word 'Doncaster' makes a lot of difference in a non-Yorkshireman's mind.

Eeeh, tha' can understand not knowing where Finningley is, but the current name is rather too long and extravagant.

Having Doncaster in the name means people don't have to think about where it is - not a good thing. Promotes laziness.

It was Royal Air Force Station Finningley for MUCH longer than its going to survive as a commercial operation!
