I was informed that this is probable from someone on the SR board. They need 3 working steam locos themselves for the 2 steam train service currently running. Currently, unless there is an update I haven't heard of (SLL site not updated since June) they only have 34028 and 31806 in working order.
257 squadron has developed a regulator or steam pipe fault and is due to go to Tysley for repair. Manston will return and be put into service ASAP.

edit - add the visitor 78018 which is due to go home at the end of the month

On a brighter note, Eddystone's rebuild has proved a success, the firebox of the T3 has been rebuilt, while a loan has been offered to return 80104 to service.
