Not quite sure how this has happened but it appears someone's marked that there's tickets available for 2Z04 09.15 Peterborough to York (via Cleethorpes) and ticket retailers (apart from the LNER site) will let you buy a ticket for the service. Obviously boarding won't be permitted but it's quite interesting and bizarre how this has happened.

Interesting! Has this ever happened before?

It will just be a straight refund from the retailer, as anyone attempting to board is unlikely to receive a warm welcome :D

Inputting a non-passenger service as an advertised passenger train is something that happens several times a year.

Most are rejected by journey planners as they don't have any advertised stops - so the input of this train has not only been shown as category OO (ordinary passenger) but also has some or all of the calling points shown as passenger stops.

Was that train shown as a passenger service on the platform display as well? If so, did anyone attempt to board it?

I was informed that the service appeared on platform and station information screens as a charter train for special ticket holders only.
