Just as a comparison.

To walk from the end of Platform 1 of Glasgow Central to the Gordon Street Entrance is 430 metres.
To walk from the Gordon Street Entrance of Glasgow Central to the Dundas Street Entrance of Glasgow Queen Street is 485 metres

It's not a vast distance between the two stations. 4m30s at a steady pace.
Someone will note that a passenger gets railway assistance to get from their seat at the end of platform 1 to the Gordon Street entrance but not between the stations, and also that the route between the stations isn't flat, and that it is uneven.

There is a bus between the two Glasgow stations though - or at least there used to be - which I assume has disabled access. I suspect the bus would take longer than walking though!

You still have to cross atleast four roads if you go the Buchanan Street way which slows you down. Whereas P1 to entrance crosses zero.

As noted above, the station link bus is still operating. It is indeed much slower than walking.

More importantly though, it finishes at 8pm.

Still is. Saw it last week when I had to be in Port Glasgow for a Family Funeral.

If someone wanted a flat surface, they'd avoid Glasgow Central. It's a fair slope up from Gordon Street to the platforms, very slippery in wet weather.

We should really do a poll.

"Should a service be cancelled completely if it is identified that an HRU failure means that it cannot complete the timetabled diagram?"
