Timbo is spot on - it's one of several weedkilling trains currently running
around the Network.

In addition to the York-based train, others have been running from locations
such as Carlisle, Romford, Paddock Wood, Chaddesden and Slateford.

Many thanks for the information.

I didn't realise NR weedkilling trains were based there. I thought it was just the RHTT fleet.

I passed Kimgmoor 4 times last week and also walked the nature trail
The Line of Cl 88s at the southern end are 88005/6/7/9/10
And at the Northern end the following were noted
7/5 88008,9/5 88004,12/5 88001/2 plus 1
Uid. 68026 was next to the depot southern end
all week but 68027 was noted 7/5 and 9/5 at the north end

Thanks for that. I'm afraid though I'll now be filing so many requests for trains I'm due to go one. I hope this won't be too much of an issue and won't annoy you too much :D

Glad to also be getting 377 601 for my ride home today, but a double 455/7 not so, I much prefer the /8's and /9's rather than the 7/'s, just cannot stand the 508 TSO's!

68027 was on the Mountsorrel to Carlisle today

I'd say it's almost impossible to mistake a 68 for a 66,
so he must have seen a different train, especially as your
original post was timed at 17.44 and the Mountsorrel train
didn't get to Carlisle until 18.25!
