Are the 397s off as well?

Twitter states that only the 5s are affected so given there were hardly any 5 diagrams under this "enhanced COVID timetable" I see a case for only 2 or 3 more 185s but what I don't know is whether TP have spare 185s right now given that all Redcars, Hulls, Huddersfield stoppers in both directions and South TPE are all booked 6-car plus service frequencies are nearly back to how they were prior to COVID.

How would they have done that when two of their four different types of stock aren't able to run at the moment?

They're up proverbial creek without a paddle if the 397s get withdrawn. 185s can't do Anglo-Scottish services since before COVID due to driver retention, or rather lack thereof.

Just have a look at Journey Check.
There are already mentions of trains full and standing.

Have a look at Journey Check tomorrow morning. It states that for many Sunday trains, even several hours before they depart!

Any idea what diagrams they will be on tomorrow? (Tuesday). Thanks
Now there’s a guessing game!
There are some cancellations this evening due to infrastructure problems at Roby.

I think the position at the end of the day will be:

Scarborough
68025 TP06
68029 TP09

Longsight
68024 TP07

For tomorrow, I think allocations are usually settled at 02:00.

Sorry to ask, i'm a little behind with this, are these the three diagrams that would usually expect to be 68+MK5 on a Saturday if they're operating?

Andy, yes, those are the diagrams Monday to Saturday.

At Scarborough tonight will be
68024 (predicted 1F54 on Sat)
68028 (predicted 1F56 on Sat)

68029 will end up at Longsight so is a possibility for 1F48.

Hope that helps:)

Thanks a lot for that, I'm out and about tomorrow so will try and catch one (not been on one yet!). Cheers again for the quick reply.

December will see a full return of the Liv - Sca service operated by 4 x 68/Mk5a and 3 x 6 car 185.

Disappointed there aren't more 68s but pleased nothing is booked 3-car

As it stands at start of play.
68025 + TP06 11506 12716 12717 12718 12806
1F54 06:34 Scarborough to Liverpool Lime Street

1F72 15:34 Scarborough to Liverpool Lime Street

1F56 07:34 Scarborough to Manchester Victoria
1E43 16:31 Manchester Victoria to Scarborough
1P92 19:34 Scarborough to Manchester Airport
5H90 22:43 Manchester Airport to Longsight
68029 + TP09 11509 12725 12726 12727 12809
1F48 05:54 Manchester Victoria to Liverpool Lime Street
1E25 06:54 Liverpool LS to Scarborough
1T60 09:57 Scarborough to York
1T29 11:00 York to Scarborough
1F66 12:34 Scarborough to Liverpool Lime Street
1E45 16:54 Liverpool Lime Street to Scarborough.

Mark

The diagram beginning with the 05:54 Victoria to Lime Street is showing 3-car vice 5 tomorrow (today technically as it's less than 5 past midnight at the time of writing!) but only as far as York at 10:50. No change from 11:00 onwards.

Using a bit of common sense (?), and reverse-engineering of Realtime Trains info, plus the data posted by 8J in the coaching stock thread, I've produced an entirely unofficial set of TPE 68 diagrams for December:

A.
ECS ex Longsight
1P05 02:42 Picc - York 05:00 (Route varies according to Eng Ops)
1F50 05:28 York - Liv 07:30
1E27 07:54 Liv - Sca 10:52
1F64 11:34 Sca - Liv 14:32
1E41 14:54 Liv - Sca 17:51
1T78 18:34 Sca - York 19:24
1T53 22:45 York - Sca 23:35
Service and stable.

B.
1F52 05:34 Sca - Liv 08:36
1E29 08:54 Liv - Sca 11:51
1F66 12:34 Sca - Liv 15:33
1E43 15:54 Liv - Sca 18:51
1P92 19:34 Sca - MIA 22:22
ECS to Longsight. Service and stable.

C.
ECS ex Longsight
1E23 06:27 Picc - Sca 08:52 (via Guide Bridge)
1F60 09:34 Sca - Liv 12:32
1E37 12:54 Liv - Sca 15:51
1F74 16:34 Sca - Liv 19:33
1E51 19:54 Liv - Sca 22:51
Service and stable.

D.
1F54 06:34 Sca - Liv 09:32
1E31 09:54 Liv - Sca 12:51
1F68 13:34 Sca - Liv 16:32
1E4516:54 Liv - Sca 19:51
1P94 20:34 Sca - MIA 23:28
ECS to Longsight. Service and stable.

Liv = Liverpool Lime Street High Level
Picc = Manchester Piccadilly
MIA = Manchester Airport
Sca = Scarborough

I emphasise that this is purely my own version of the diagrams, not derived from any official sources, so there may be some errors / omissions.

I hope that is helpful.

They don't work to Redcar yet. There was supposed to be one diagram from May, but the Covid timetable put paid to that. Even so, the one diagram included the 17:07 ex Redcar, so I've no idea why the 18:07 is shown as a 5-car.

Full listings of the carriages for the 397s and 802s are in the Combined Volume; if nobody else posts them first I can post them tonight from home.

Odd goings-on at Scarborough this evening.
68027 on 1E45 16:54 Liverpool - Scarborough arrived 2' early at 19:47, and was turned straight round to work 1P92 19:34 Scarborough - Manchester Airport, which suffered a 19' late start.
Can anybody shed any light on this please?

There was a diagram swap.

68021 plus TP10 worked in on 1E43 16:30 Manchester Victoria to Scarborough and then went to the depot rather than working back on 1P92.

I’m not sure if it’s connected but 68027 plus TP08 today replaced 68020 plus TP09 which yesterday were involved in a fatality at Slaithwaite whilst working 1P92. Perhaps there was a need to get 68027 or TP08 back to Longsight?
