Transpennine Express strike timetables

TPE Strike timetable has now been released


Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 December

York and Manchester Piccadilly - 9 services in both directions, mostly all stations with some running fast
Cleethorpes and Sheffield - 5 services in both directions, no service to Manchester
Preston and Manchester Airport - 5 services in both directions

Thursday 15 December

As above plus

Edinburgh and Newcastle - 4 services in both directions (2 services in both directions will start/terminate at Berwick-upon-Tweed)
Newcastle and York - 5 services in both directions
Saltburn and York - 5 services in both directions (1 service in both directions will start/terminate at Middlesbrough)

Friday 16 and Saturday 17 December

York and Huddersfield - 10 services in both directions, no service to Manchester
Cleethorpes and Sheffield - 5 services in both directions, no service to Manchester
Preston and Manchester Airport - 5 services in both directions

Annoying that they say there’s going to be disruption on Christmas Eve, but not saying what the new timetable will be. I thought there would be as they removed advances from later Leeds to Manchester a few days before the Network Rail Xmas strikes, but they really need to let people know if they can get home for Christmas or have to travel earlier.

How come they can run across the Pennines on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the last Saturday strike, but not next weekend ?

Yet again, not a single train across the Pennines from any of the operators on any of the routes. Shockingley poor.

How come they can run across the Pennines on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the last Saturday strike, but not next weekend ?
Engineering works aren't the same every weekend.
