Hello.
Have Transpennine Express mixed the routes up a bit, or am I just behind?
Apparently, according to the National Rail Website - there are services from Middlesbrough - Liverpool Lime St... but I thought only Middlesbrough - Manchester Airport services operated?
Please shed some light!

Same, but according to www.livedepartureboards.co.uk (I was checking my Northern train) there are infact services from Middlesbrough to Liverpool Lime St.

Middlesbrough (Your station) Dep12:45
Thornaby Arr12:50
Yarm Arr12:58
Northallerton Arr13:12
Thirsk Arr13:21
York Arr13:42
Leeds Arr14:08
Manchester Victoria Arr15:04
Newton-le-Willows Arr15:27
Liverpool Lime Street Arr15:57

Does this mean there are no more services to Manchester Airport?

Trains between Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Piccadilly and Leeds will be diverted and will not call at Warrington Central, Birchwood, Manchester Oxford Road, Manchester Piccadilly or Stalybridge. They will call additionally at Manchester Victoria.

Replacement buses will run between Newton-Le-Willows and Warrington Central connecting in to the diverted trains.

Most trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Leeds will not call at Huddersfield. Passengers for Huddersfield should travel to Dewsbury and change there for a train to Huddersfield.

Trains will run between Manchester Airport and Manchester Victoria.

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Hull will only run between Huddersfield and Hull.

Also, if you check the timetable, trains on Sundays from Lime St alternate between Scarborough and Middlesborough.

Newton-le-Willows Arr15:27
Liverpool Lime Street Arr15:57

That is a LOT of recovery time!

Sundays are odd. Usually, trains from Liverpool go to Scarborough, but the 1522 goes to Middlesbrough instead

Did you miss the post I made above yours?

On Sundays, the 0819, 1022, 1222, 1422, and 1622 go to Middlesborough. The service you mention, the 1522 does NOT go to Middlesborough.

Think TPE do a Liverpool-Newcastle run early weekdays.

On mobile right now (at Lime Street as it happens) and the 2022 is to Newcastle.

Think you might be right about early morning run to Newcastle but not got access to a timetable right now.

Its the 0616 from Liverpool LS then divides at York. First Class.

Is the 0716 still six car too? Pretty sure that is the one that calls at Widnes where only the front unit has its doors released?

Correct. 0716 is 6 car. The rear 3 terminate in York with the front 3 continuing to Scarborough.

The front unit only is for Widnes and Irlam
