This place has always struck me as a curiosity, once comprising a very comprehensive railway infrastructure in a remote part of the North West.

Anyone have any anecdotals?

Other than believing that Trimpell was an amalgamation of Trinidad Lake Asphalt, Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), and Shell, there is nothing I can add.
