What do you class as closed as there have been many stations such as Drumgelloch and Bathgate which have closed by reopened on a different site.

You could include Blencow, Penruddock, Troutbeck, Threlkeld and Keswick on the Penrith-Keswick route and Goodrington Sands, Churston, Kingswear and Dartmouth on the Paignton-Kingswear route because neither route was listed for closure by Beeching.

That's a surprise! I didn't know that.

Ah. I seem to remember a New St - Stourbridge train in the timetable. Must have been a parliamentary after they diverted the Stourbridge line trains to Snow Hill. They must have 'closed' the chord to passenger traffic too.

A fair few XC services still use the chord, as well as diversions when the Cross City is blocked for whatever reason. Gone over this route quite often on a Sunday when doing Gloucester - New Street.

Upton by Chester replaced by Bache
Garston replaced by Liverpool South Parkway
Black Rock Sands on the Cambrian?
Cheedale Halt near Chapel en le Frith opened on Sundays for a couple of summers?

I guess there may be some football ground halts like at the Baseball Ground, Derby?
Did any of the Butlins/Pontins parks have any stations, Filey, Talacre?

Swanage and Corfe Castle because apparently not included in the Beeching report, closure proposed 1967, fought off and finally closed Jan 1972

Bridport branch on the basis of OP #3. Was included in Beeching report, initially refused owing to poor state of roads, closed 1976 (OP says post 1975)

It's still used by passenger trains. The first Birmingham-Cardiff of the day and the last Cardiff-Birmingham get routed via Smethwick West and Stourbridge, as does the final Voyager arriving into Birmingham from the West Country iirc. You'd need to be about at 0500 or 2300 to see them, but it keeps route knowledge up for whenever there are diversions .

Filey did - Ayr also, but that was a 1960s closure.

What stations have closed after the Beeching cuts? After the last Beeching closures!

It would be interesting to define the last "Beeching closure". I think some would consider it to be Alton to Winchester in 1973, although closures had slowed to trickle by then.

Probably 1975 onwards!

It depends whether you make the cut-off date the year that Beeching stepped down as BR Chairman, or the year by which all closures recommended by Beeching had been implemented apart from those lines and stations that were reprieved.

Personally I tend to regard anything from about 1970 onwards as post-Beeching, in which case you should also count lines such as the line via Louth, Lincs (1970), Taunton-Minehead (1971), Wareham-Swanage (1972), Penrith-Keswick (1972) and Maiden Newton-Bridport (1975).

Here's a few more that I don't think have been mentioned:

New Hadley (1985)
Eltham Park (1985)
Elsham (1993)
Attercliffe Road (1995)
Brightside (1995)
Dover Western Docks (1994)
Ditton (1995-ish IIRC)
Folkestone Harbour (effectively closed about 2000-ish, but still used by occasional charter trains until about 2010 IIRC)
North Woolwich (2006)

Pendleton.

Lost a lot of its trade when Salford Crescent opened in 1987. "Temporarily" closed in 1994 and then formally closed in 1998. Eventually demolished.
