Untimetabled elizabeth Line service to slough

It appears that since the beginning of August on saturdays there has been an untimtabled Elizabeth Line service to Slough leaving Paddington Elizabeth line at 0014 and starting its journey at Abbey Wood at 2344.

The Abbey wood service normally runs, but instead terminates at Paddington normally.

I have not seen any publicity from tfl on this,and the train doesn't appear on real time trains until it runs .

However the train has appeared on GwR publicity. With GwR branded posters advertising it running at Ealing Broadway station.

Any idea why it is running and why it is being promoted by GwR rather than TfL ?

Extension of a Paddington terminator to Slough throughout August to help with crowding of late night GWR services. Interesting that it has GWR promotional branding at somewhere like Ealing Broadway, a TfL managed station!

I wonder if it's a trial that, if successful, could be made permanent going forward.
