Currently at Hampton-In-Arden. It’s a bit disrupted to say the least! Pendos-aplenty. Three freights , two 350s and a couple of XC Voyagers in 40 minutes. The Colwich work is having an impact along this stretch of line. 2 Brum- Euston LNWR services have been cancelled(13.49 &14.19).

Points failure at Stechford, the crossover in the down direction. 1500 minutes and counting.

Someone just mentioned this. The last thing they need on such a week.

Easy to say in retrospect I know, but surely the critical facing crossover at Stechford should have received some preventative maintenance in advance of the diversions?

There's only so much preventive work can do. The failure could be anything, and many of them would have happened whether or not a P-Way team had visited with some spanners in the weeks before.

How much work would you like them to do? The best maintained equipment in the world can still have issues.

I’m sure NWR had done all the required work to maintain their asset.
