On a Sunday when there should be more than enough buses spare! Yikes!827 is tracking on skylink derby which replaced enviro 155.
155 failed in Derby so it would have meant a cancelled journey while they sourced a bus from Loughborough. Good initiative to keep the journey running I sayOn a Sunday when there should be more than enough buses spare! Yikes!
Most likely spare to replace a few Solos. Are the refurbished X38s entering service soon? And where will the blue Volvos go when they do?
Might not have long to wait now...Are the refurbished X38s entering service soon? And where will the blue Volvos go when they do?

I guess if the competition ended, they would have two many buses.Only 6 months after the competition began![]()
There is a bus turning loop opposite the entrance built as a planning condition but it is always barried off. I wonder if this will force them to open it up.Unlikely to be viable. If anything though it may take custom away from arriva which will serve much the same area. Notts and derby are also serving the Huntley Avenue part of the old Spondon Flyer route. They are also offering through tickets onto the Ilkeston Flyer which will be much quicker to Derby than Arriva.
Although limited times of operation, it will run every 30 minutes compared to hourly on the arriva 20.
Surprised the 19 isn't serving Asda, I would have thought that would be a logical move. Worth noting there is no bus stop marked at Spondon railway station, and nowhere to turn round until you get to the island at the bottom of the raynesway service road.
Is that for buses, sure it was used as a small car park last time I went past. I didn't realise it was a purpose built turning circle for buses! If it is, it should be used. There is a bus turning loop opposite the entrance built as a planning condition but it is always barried off. I wonder if this will force them to open it up.
It is being used for a car park with padlocked gates but the travel plan in the planning application called for a shuttle bus round the whole site to link the site to the station. I think the developers may have weaseled out of the obligation or it may not have kicked in yet as the site is still under construction. Is that for buses, sure it was used as a small car park last time I went past. The caption reads 'Burton Express X38'. Is this how they'll be branded?Ex-Ilkeston Flyer Volvo 722 is now in the new X38 colours.

The TrentBarton website home page shows it as Xprss38.The caption reads 'Burton Express X38'. Is this how they'll be branded?

Yes trentbarton home page currently showing this banner.
Assume this means 721 is nearly complete or is already too then in the new livery don't know if anyone has seen it recently?
Still rubbed down in the corner. (Or was last week)The caption reads 'Burton Express X38'. Is this how they'll be branded?
Also, whats happening with 727? It was partly rubbed down and masked last year but has sat at LM ever since.
Is it suitable for a full size bus though, or just a transit minibus on a site shuttle? It is being used for a car park with padlocked gates but the travel plan in the planning application called for a shuttle bus round the whole site to link the site to the station. It does look rather small, if this is it.Is it suitable for a full size bus though, or just a transit minibus on a site shuttle?
That is indeed it.It does look rather small, if this is it.
Is it the only bus route that terminates where the bus cannot turn around, and there is no bus stop? That is indeed it.
The timetable on notts&derby website starts and stops at "Spondon station" with 7 minutes between the end of one loop and the start of the next one so it has got to find somewhere to wait. Megalorton lane is due to be shut for water works for thr next few weeks so there won't be a through route.
That'd be fine. You shoul see the miracles drivers pull at the top of Middleton. One fell swoop to turn around in a B7RLE!It does look rather small, if this is it.
I thought the route was an extension of the RR2 Rolls Royce bus. That is indeed it.

I think it works between a school bus working to/from sandiacre.I thought the route was an extension of the RR2 Rolls Royce bus.
The best turning circle on a bus I've ever driven (B7RLE)That'd be fine. You shoul see the miracles drivers pull at the top of Middleton. One fell swoop to turn around in a B7RLE!

Especially considering their size. I reckon the loop at Spondon would be okay though, even for a vehicle with a worse turning circle. The best turning circle on a bus I've ever driven (B7RLE)
