Got to congratulate the WR over this recent BANK HOLIDAY weekend for putting on a really good event, which seemed to attract a lot of visitors, over the three days Saturday 30th April through to Monday 2nd May.
It had something for everyone, centred around a Model Railway exhibition & stalls.....A large Showman's Traction Engine in steam, Miniature railway steam & diesel rides, Shuttle rides to Scruton Station via a Pacer, guided tours of the refurbished Leeming Bar Station, refreshments etc etc.
A big well done to the organisers for putting on a great co-ordinated event and another plus was that the Model Rail exhibition of about six or seven really good layouts, was held in the Loco Shed which had some Standard Gauge locos to view up close.
Thoroughly enjoyed it - Hope they do it next year too.
