I think Stagecoach's response was the funny one.

Lothian's less so. Even it's a genuine mistake.... that's embarrassing, but if they're giving out deliberately duff info.... that's not great.

I don't think it was a genuine mistake as this sort of thing has happened a few times where Lothian will just pretend First don't exist, hence why i posted it here... Lets not forget when The Scottish Government announced a new £500million fund to improve bus priority infrastructure Lothian cropped First out the photo.

While it doesn't look great... you're not going to believe this at all, we're in the midst of a global pandemic, alot of staff are furloughed or working part time. Theres only one member of staff covering social media when theres usually 3. This member of staff usually only covers the Edinburgh services so won't necessarily know other operations or even other operators.

Yet Stagecoach managed it and they dont even operate in the same area. If only they was a website that could highlight this.

Not very professional on Lothian's part. They didn't have to mention any operator and should perhaps have given the customer a link to Traveline Scotland. Sounds to me that some bus operators are getting worse at Customer Services and think that everyone and their dog can do the job.

A lot of people have blinkers on these days, ' i only want to know stuff in my domain' . Ive had First Glasgow drivers that couldnt tell you where other routes go in FIG'

honestly baffles me how their brain can work like that. completely writing off anither company and praising another for no real reason. maybe they should try out the “other companies” buses enough to give an actual good view because what everyone else sees the only difference between first and lothian is the livery and interior furnishings

While that's understandable it still doesn't give the company a good impression, especially given that it's happened before. Shame because Lothian usually have one of the better social media presences. Unlike the Barbie Corp, First's twitter is hilarious at times, there's going to come a day where the twitter team argue that First don't operated in Glasgow...

I'm surprised so many others on here know about the "a n other company" thing... I agree it does seem a bit petty, said person seems fine but i find their hatred of any bus not operated by Lothian bizarre. They happily go about slagging other operators too, i think they were disappointed when the news was broken to them that many other operators had done pride and poppy liveries prior to 2019 as they seemed to have the impression that Lothian were being innovative by doing them...

pretty much any Eclipse under bus 160, if they are withdrawn numerically, is for the chop. More than likely, they'll be sold in order of buyer choice, so we may see higher numbers going first.

Max Cairns, then commercial manager of Scottish coach company E&M Horsburgh, struck depot manager James McDowall with the table stay because Mr McDowall had tickled him in the toilets, a court heard.

The double blow caused Mr McDowall, a 34-year-old father-of-one, to fall off his chair and onto the floor at Airth Castle Hotel in Stirlingshire.
Cairns, 23, also punched him, slapped him, threw a glass at him, and poured a drink over him in the explosive row.
A colleague said Mr McDowall was off work for five months with stress as a result of the attack.
