I just realised the key to this map was the presence of national cycle route 3.

Well, it's on a National Trail.

From the tilt of the gridlines, I suspect it could be in the South East (or maybe the north west) of the UK grid.

It gave me something other than fumbling in the dark. I don't know the Wye area quite well enough...

Looks to be a complex disused junction to the east of the station, and the railway/main road seem to be aligned correctly.

The font that "Hatfield" appears in suggests to me that it is a farm, and certainly not the town, which would be shown in large capitalised letters... ;)
