I would have suggested buying a platform ticket to go to the cheaper place but aren't they 20p at Leeds? Hardly an epic saving :P

Either that or just go around to the Fish Lane (I think it is called this) exit and have a pee there (for free) as it seems like everyone does on a night out.

An exhorbitant 30p I'm afraid (as seems to be the case with most of network rail). I usually go on the train as they're often surprisingly clean :)

As far as I understand, Network Rail own and manage the station, Northern run the ticket office, info desk and barriers, and Northern, TPE and EC do platform dispatching.

You do occasionally see XC staff there but not very often.
And it isn't always TPE/NT/EC that see off their respective trains.

I don't think anyone has posted their opinions on who runs it... Merely what they've heard...

Which is what I heard, that Northern run it (paper and a guard at the station)

The papers can be misinformed, but for a guard to say it is another story surely?

As far as I'm concerned BR should run it :)

I can state categorically that it's NR. That's because I've seen QX (Qualifying Expenditure) invoices from them for the station, and you only raise QX invoices when you run it.

Guards often don't understand how these stations work. Platform side and TO is managed by TOCs, the rest by NR. Sometimes NR subcontract part of the work to TOCs, which confuses things even further.
