I'm presuming that you never visited Boothferry Park on a cold, wet and windy Winter's night then .... That did give a whole new meaning to the term 'coldest ground' .... (Shallow terrace, with no roof to keep the wind and rain off.)

And I'm presuming that you've never went to a winters evening game at Gayfield (Arbroath) as the driving rain and wind comes in from the North Sea which is only metres away from the terracing or the Tulloch stadium in Inverness which is right next to the Moray Firth?

I've never had those 'pleasures', but the old Hull **itty ground (and the new one) are not that far away from the North Sea and the River Humber. The difference between those grounds is that the KC Stadium is better sheltered from the elements for all fans.

Sad as it is, one of side hobbies is collecting coffee mugs from league teams, I have a large set of shelves on my landing where they are all displayed but 'the rules' are that I have to visit the ground to get the mug (beats shopping with the wife !), so it makes going on holiday an interesting journey, A-B via x,y & z, but so far I have

Chelsea
City
United
Soton
Spurs
Arsenal
Newcastle
Everton
Stoke
Villa
Palace
Sunderland
Burnley
Hull
Qpr
Liecester
Derby
Middlesbourgh
Norwich
Sheff Wed
Wolves
Blackburn
Cardiff
Birmingham
Nottm Forest
Charlton
Huddersfield
Bolton
Fulham
Brighton
Rotherham
Leeds
Millwall
Wigan
Blackpool
Swindon
MK Dons
Preston
Bradford
Sheff Utd
Chesterfield
Rochdale
Fleetwood
Port Vale
Peterborough
Notts County
Oldham
Doncaster
Walsall
Barnsley
Scunthorpe
Coventry
Crewe
Yeovil
Wycombe
Plymouth
Bury
Exeter
Cambridge
Oxford Utd
Portsmouth
Cheltenham
Mansfield
Carlisle
Tranmere
Hartlepool

& teams that used to be in the league

Bristol Rovers
Macclesfield
Grimsby
Torquay
Lincoln City
Wrexham
Chester
Boston
Stockport
Plus several Scottish and foreign teams one day I hope to have them all,

Prize possession: 1973, one of a limited edition sunderland cup winning mugs(only 100 made)

Most expensive: Chelsea (greedy sods)

Cheapest: Bradford city, they were in administration at the time and one of the girls pinched one from the canteen for me (free).

Living in west Cumbria makes it awkward to get to some grounds so I have to take advantage of any trip down south, it drives the family up the wall, especially when you get to a lower tier ground and its shop is shut and there is nobody about !!!

I don't count visits to grounds that have not involved a match in the 92. This includes stadium tours, concerts, meetings or just popping to have a look.

Premier league:(visits)Ratings out of 5.
Villa:(4), *****, Old fashioned, modernised, excellent transport connection.
Everton[/B]:-,***** (Favourite),Good atmosphere, classic ground, good transport.
Leicester:-,***, virtually empty, poor transport.( Due to the snow storm)
Liverpool:(3)****, Iconic, only traveled by road so have experience of ''Mind your car for £10'' and my coach being burgled.
Man United:-****,The top stadium in the land, let down by useless railway connection .
WBA:-***,Average ground, decent atmosphere, poor amenities in the area, excellent transport links.

Championship
Birmingham,****, Good atmosphere, smart stadium, OK transport link.
Bolton, ****, Excellent unique looking new ground, bland retail park for surrounding area, excellent train link.
Derby,**** Similar story to Bolton.
Huddersfield****,Good atmosphere for 20 mins, nice stadium, average transport links.
Watford***, Three sided stadium with poor access points unique looking stand, good atmos, good transport link.
Wigan*** Best value, Ground is OK, fans tend to sit higher up hence the empty look on TV, reasonable transport links.
Wolves****, Good stadium let down by faded yellow seats(a horrid colour), excellent atmos, good transport link.

League One:-
MK Dons***, Most comftorbale stadium

Premier League - All 20

Championship - All 24

League One - All apart from Fleetwood, Notts County and Crawley

League Two - All apart from Burton, Newport, Morecambe, Dag and Red and Stevenage

Also done Stockport, Kettering, Histon, Macclesfield, Lincoln, Grimsby, Darlington, Wrexham and Halifax

Also done Filbert Street, Highbury, Layer Road, The Dell, The Withdean, Maine Road and Boothferry Road

The one good thing about supporting Leeds United is that we've been up and down the leagues over the past few years.

Best Ground - Bristol City, great old school place, proper fans, superb city for a night out, THE best away day in football.
Arsenal and MK Dons have fantastic facilities but both are souless, Arsenal is way way too expensive in all areas.

Worst Ground - Any of these B and Q grounds. Hull, Leicester, Coventry, Huddersfield etc etc Just the same ground with different coloured seats
Norwich City Carrow Road - They play music when they score, pathetically tinpot and boring fans with a boring ground
Ipswich Town - Rubbish place, covered in cobwebs as well bizzarely, no atmosphere either.

Luton Town is perhaps the scruffiest, Boundary Park is also awful.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
I've done 42 current grounds.

Arsenal
Burnley x5
Crystal Palace
Hull
Leicester
Manchester United
Newcastle
Southampton
Stoke
Swansea
Blackburn
Cardiff
Derby
Huddersfield x 7
Ipswich
Leeds x lots
Middlesbrough
Millwall x2
Norwich
Rotherham
Wolves
Barnsley
Bradford
Coventry
Leyton Orient
MK Dons
Oldham x2
Peterborough
Port Vale
Preston
Swindon
Walsall
Bury

That must have been the first time I hear someone calling Norwich "tinpot".

This is a question from a non-involved casual football watcher (rugby union is my game).

How many of you have been to all the grounds that a particular team has played at?

For example, Newport County FC have played at three grounds in their history - Somerton Park, Spytty Park and now Rodney Parade. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any more that have done the same, although I'm probably wrong!

There are, of course, quite a lot of clubs that have played at two grounds. For example, in South Wales there are Swansea City (The Vetch Field and the Liberty Stadium) and Cardiff City (Ninian Park and the Cardiff City Stadium).

Cardiff played at Sophia Gardens before moving to Ninian Park. Can't imagine there are (m)any people still alive who saw them play there though. A lot of clubs moved grounds several times in their early days before settling at the ones we're familiar with.

And I see from Wikipedia that they also played matches at Cardiff Arms Park (shock, horror!!) and the Harlequins Ground.

The latter might have been the ground now used by Cardiff Harlequins (ex High School Old Boys) RFC and Cardiff CC (better known as the Diamond Ground) or the one used by St Peter's RFC, which is, I think still known as the Harlequin Ground.

"Boring fans" "Boring ground" I can say us Norwich fans are certainly not boring... And playing music when they score? Last time I checked a lot of teams do that...

Your description of Ipswich however is surprisingly accurate

I've certainly not done as many as I would have liked. I'll have to spend some time checking which ones I have done to get a list though!

Charlton Athletic played home games at Selhurst Park and Upton Park in the late 1980s-early 1990s when their home ground The Valley was closed.

The original Wimbledon FC after leaving Plough Lane ground in Wimbledon played at Selhurst Park before reforming as MK Dons.

Finally- A fellow Crystal Palace supporter was aiming to see them play at all 92 football league grounds. Having reached around 85 grounds he has now "retired" as within recent years newly promoted teams such as Morecambe, Fleetwood, Dagenham & Redbridge have put it beyond reach.
Has anyone seen the same team play at as many grounds?

The difference though with Charlton is that they were not playing at their grounds for this period of time you mention but other teams grounds, although saying that I am not sure if the Withdean was owned or leased by B&HA.

Not just the 92, that's all on hold until next season (hopefully), but following my home town team Grimsby Town over the years I have been to 159 different grounds. Only 5 of those grounds I haven't seen a Grimsby game at.

This is the site that I use to keep a note of all grounds visited.
