Nobody on a train - they would distract my attention from train timing. Several I would like to meet after a train journey, e.g. Sir David Attenborough, Professor Brian Cox, etc.

Oh dear, get a life.
Kylie anywhere on the train but preferably in sleeper.
You should be so lucky.

Nice one! :D
I think Johan Cruiff would have been fascinating company. We could have covered football, socialism, independence and two of my favourite countries, the Netherlands and Spain!
Jon Ronson of "Things Fell Apart" fame would be a fascinating and enlightening chat I reckon (check BBC sounds if you're not familiar with his work). Louis Theroux would fall into the same category.....he has some tales of weirdos to tell that I'm sure I'd enjoy.
And if I was in a particularly dark mood, Chris Morris would be an enjoyable journey.
And then there's Jesus......I'd certainly like to quiz him about a few things! :o

Didn't she have a hit single called "The Loco-Motion"?. Quite apt.
Yes, a cover version of a song that had been American hits for Little Eva, and later by Grand Funk Railroad (the best version in my opinion, but got nowhere in UK).

It doesn't mention "famous" so I'll just say with Mum and Dad, to chat about what we've been through these last 4 years and wave them off at their favourite place, Seaford.

That’s actually really nice. On a similar vein a table of four with some of my long passed away family members would beat anyone famous actually.

Queen Victoria - I'd love to see the expression on her face as the train far exceeds her 40mph limit :)

We could make it a Pendolino for added fun!

Being a little more serious, how about George Stephenson?

The Beatles recreating their fictional guards van concert from Hard Days Night
How about them getting on the train roof and performing? If it happened in three days time, it'd be the 55th anniversary of their Savile Row office rooftop concert.

On a long journey with several changes, overcrowding, and numerous delays and cancellations.... Whoever the Minister for Transport is at the time!

(and we most definitely would not be travelling 1st class)

King Charles III.

Not that I'd want to talk to him* - chances are there would be plenty of sycophants and brown-nosers present vying for his attention.

Rather because:
1) In the worst case, we'd be travelling in a specially cleaned and sanitised First Class section, with armed security on the internal door to keep the riff-raff and chancers out.

2) In the best case, we'd be in a fine Royal Claret-liveried Mk.3. And with it being Premium Class ++, they'd surely have got the seats lined up with the windows.

* If HM did come to shake my hand and ask "Did you come far?", I'd be polite and say "from King's Cross mate. Same as you".

Four Yorkshiremen. I'd kick off the conversation by reminiscing about the old days and then see how it went.

I'd take Gresley and Bulleid on an LNER Azuma - to see their appalled expressions when they try the seats. :D

I'd take them to the A1 Trust's P2 2007, to show them the changes made with the benefit of learning/hindsight; Gresley of course would insist 2007 gets built with conjugated gear...

I'd ask Bulleid what he would have done, if he'd stayed at the LNER instead of taking the SR's CME post.
