The £30k per passenger one? I have to say that as much as I 100% support the A1 trust and everything they do, I am slightly relieved. If it had been a roaring success it could have tempted other companies to go the same way and focus on luxury railtours, making the market unaffordable to the average punter.

It was pulled by the tour promoter (Golden Eagle Luxury Trains) due to bookings not being where they were projected to be. If it had gone ahead I wouldn't have been too worried regarding the market focusing on luxury railtours only - we have less pricey luxury railtours currently (thinking Royal Scotsman and Grand Hibernian) and despite that there are plenty of more "affordable" tours.

I had a brochure from A1 yesterday advertising a number of Tornado's Trips for this year and early next.
