So, is the £95.40 Super Off Peak Single ticket from Newcraighall to Kings Cross not valid at all for travel today (Easter Monday)?
It is, yes, all day.

It is totally valid for travel on any service, but you won't get an itinerary for it on a journey planning interface. So, is the £95.40 Super Off Peak Single ticket from Newcraighall to Kings Cross not valid at all for travel today (Easter Monday)?
So, a higher priced advance single can still be sold, which will presumably include a seat reservation or counted place, but not the cheaper walk-up ticket for the exact same train? This does seem to be something of a 'rip off'. If so, how is this justified? It is totally valid for travel on any service, but you won't get an itinerary for it on a journey planning interface.
I think the issue was that when I checked, the Newcraighall to London itineraries are such that the trains from Newcraighall don't necessarily feed into the journeys that still have advance reservations (1937) from Edinburgh without intervention. (The 1937 gets overtaken by the last Lumo at 1958 which is also 'full' from Edinburgh.)So, a higher priced advance single can still be sold, which will presumably include a seat reservation or counted place, but not the cheaper walk-up ticket for the exact same train?
