Can anyone confirm what the local extra benefit is for holders of Concessionary bus passes in West Yorkshire

Metro's site says
For West Yorkshire residents, your English National Concessionary Pass also entitles you to half-fare, off-peak train travel within West Yorkshire. Off-peak is Monday to Friday after 09:30 until 16:00, then after 18:30. All day on weekends & public holidays. If you are travelling by train during the weekday evening peak - 16:01 to 18:29 - you will need to buy an Anytime Day Single or Anytime Day Return ticket.

Half price at off peak times is straight forward

But, does this mean in the evening peak there is no discount and users have to pay the full adult fare, or do they get a half price discount on the more expensive Anytime Day single/return ticket?

"ENCS passes issued by West Yorkshire Combined Authority also entitle the pass holder to a concessionary fare on local rail services on the same days and times as bus travel. If you are travelling by train during the evening peak - 16:01 to 18:29 - you will need to buy an Anytime Day Single or Anytime Day Return ticket".

Which suggests that a half-price discount is available at evening peak times.

As a beneficiary of the scheme, I confirm that it is available.

The internal Knowledgebase is rather curious in that it clearly states that full fare tickets must be purchased for travel between 00.30 and 09.29 on weekdays, but is completely silent about the period between 16.01 and 18.28. Whilst it is stated that the discount can be applied to Anytime tickets that goes alongside the proviso that this is "on trains from 09.30 only".

I wonder if that aspect of the internal Knowledgebase wasn't updated when the evening peak restrictions were introduced several years ago?

That isn’t the case as validity either side of that period is clearly spelled out.
