Is there a quicker route to Honeybourne from York than that given in National Enquiries?
It lists York - Doncaster - Birmingham - Worcester - Honeybourne.
With a duration of 4h 36m.

Would it be quicker via London?

If the connection is right then York-Oxford-Honeybourne might just work.

I managed to get it at about 4hrs 20 with a 35ish minute wait at Oxford.

What date and time are you looking at? Changing at Birmingham and Worcester is usually the quickest and often an hour shorter than the time you're quoting, but it depends on the time of day and how the connections work out - the Cotswolds Line doesn't have a clock face timetable, so the optimal connections are different throughout the day.

Should be able to do York to Honeybourne in around 3h 30m depending on time of day - which would be at least an hour quicker than the best possible time going via London.

Unfortunately, trains on the Cotswold Line don't always connect well with the local CT service to/from Birmingham - and you can sometimes have up to an hour to wait in Worcester. (tip: Foregate St is the station closest to the town centre for pubs, shops etc)

Tues / Wed around the 20th June.
Planning about 06.00 ex York.
Need to get back same day as well.

Thanks for the replies to date.
