10 coach would be 2 x 377/3 plus 1 x 377/1 (or /2 or /4).

Who's going to pay for the upgrade to the power supply?
How does that affect their performance? When I was commuting between London Waterloo and Woking the trains seemed to leave the station very fast (unlike Scottish drivers which do Granny driving) but they didn't seem to go that fast at their top speed, unless the smoothness just makes me think that.

The Desiro's aren't cranked up to their maximum power.
They are limited by the fitters as the power supplies can't cope.

Isn't their a similar issue with the diesel 185s being too powerful/heavy for the tracks?
I think the turbo/electrostar trains are good. I've not heard of any issues with them...?
