Is the WSP mod the toilet waste retention tanks, or something else?
Wheel Slide Prevention equipment, so nothing to do with toilets. Is the WSP mod the toilet waste retention tanks, or something else?
I think it looks smartIs it just me or does anyone else think the window band would look nice with rounded corners? It looks a bit ugly when it's just a black line like that.
The page actually says:Not sure if this has been covered in any other post, TFW has now updated their JourneyCheck that Class 142/143 Pacers will now run with an accessible Class 150.

There have been a few extra Barry Island to Cardiff services today and doubling up of as many other Barry services as possible for extra capacity for all the beach goers. For several weeks now a Pacer has always been attached to a 150 although tonight 142076+143625 worked to Barry Island together.
Say goodbye to the old buttons....150245 is heading for its PRM mods tonight tagged on the back of 21:55 Cardiff to Crewe, i think that is the last 150 to be done.
I thought 230 and 281 were in at the moment but could well be wrong. It looks like something is heading back to Canton tomorrow evening.I think 230 is still to be done, but not 100% sure
So is the entire TfW fleet (apart from Pacers and the 'short term' 153s) now fully PRM modified? Including all of the long term 153s?150230 has been done. It's currently in Canton sidings.
With 150245 on it's way to Crewe, that marks 150s having had their PRM mods done!
Not quite, 153362 hasn't been done yet. That will be the next and last 153 to be done. 303 and 327 are being done at the mo. 303 went in on 10th June so should be out in a week or so. 327 went in on 22nd June so will be a little while yet.So is the entire TfW fleet (apart from Pacers and the 'short term' 153s) now fully PRM modified? Including all of the long term 153s?

Along with finally getting the 150s into TfW livery and internal colour schemeNot quite. 153362 is at Crewe, was untouched when I passed on Monday.
Think the next major step is the refurbishment of the 175/1s.
What's the point of that? The 175s are due to leave in a couple of years anyway!Think the next major step is the refurbishment of the 175/1s.

OK but surely it's a huge waste of materials to only use for 2 years? Even if another operator gets them, which I find unlikely at to this point, they are going to want to do their own refurbishment to match their branding. At least in view of frequent late deliveries. The 175/1s are rather tatty interiorwise now and TFW don't want a bad impression while they get tattier still and it is also a Franchise requirement. The 175/0s have all been completed

I mean... Northern didn't bother refurb the 323s until they knew for definite they were staying, and they were far tattier than the 175s are now...If it is a franchise requirement it has got to be done. So you would be happy to ride round in tatty looking trains.

Worse still, First Great Western refurbished only one 166 unit from the entire Network Turbo fleet when it was confirmed they were all staying, and that was just a vanity project for the GWR brand launch!
Overall I can see where you're coming from, but in a time when the railway is shorter of cash than ever, it does seem incredibily irresponsible to be spending money and resources on refurbishing trains with interiors which, while a little tatty, are still perfectly servicable.

I hugely doubt that would happen. Theres allsorts of mismatch sets but to put them back now doesnt achieve anything and causes all sorts of issues exam and overhaul schedules. Chances are barring further faults/accident damage to more than one set at a time they will stay as they are until withdrawalThe question is now will they reform the units when coming back from refurb as I believe 004/009/104/107/109 all got disbanded at some point?
