If that is correct I would never have guessed in a million years
Believe it is the correct answer, the car in question was some left hand drive model, and was brought into the country from Continental Europe via Southampton (Docks?) and then by rail to Micheldever station.

As per my previous post, the journey was partially re-enacted by Michael Portillo (together with a local historian) a few years ago and featured in Series Three of "Great British Railway Journeys" which was repeated on the "Yesterday" TV channel just a few weeks ago.

Believe that the fuel necessary had to be sourced from local chemists as obviously there were no filling stations in the early days of motoring. Journey distance from Michelever station to Datchet is/was around 50 miles.

Let me guess... he (Michael Portillo) was either wearing a stripy blazer and straw boater, or a leather helmet and goggles.
Stripey dark grey / light grey blazer, pink shirt, light coloured trousers, but no hat or goggles.

The only online link I can find to footage of S03E07 of "Great British Railway Journeys" (the relevant clip is about ten and a half minutes in) for some reason seems to be threaded back-to-front!

A football themed question...

The manager of which Scottish football club is currently the longest in the role as manager?

(Scottish Premiership, Scottish Championship, SPFL League One, and/or SPFL League Two).

Just looking for the name of the club, but bonus points for the name of the actual manager, and the number of years he's been in post.

Absolutely spot on. Unfortunately the pub has shut and turned into, I think, some sort of gallery. Your go!

EDIT: Just in case some readers are bemused, ‘Stalyvegas’ is the joke name for Stalybridge because of its exciting nightlife.

Stalybridge (Celtic) normally play in a predominantly blue coloured kit, but have been known to use green and white hoops as a change away kit.
Yes, obviously the connection is ‘Celtic’. I have one of their blue and white shirts in my drawers which I wear occasionally.

You've heard of the tales of great London city
Where everything there is both ugly and pretty
But London is out of comparison quite
With Stalybridge Market on a Saturday night

Blimey that was quick! Yes, four ex egg chasers (Cliff Morgan, Gareth Edwards, Bill Beaumont, Matt Dawson)

The studio floor is yours
I could only think of Bill Beaumont and Matt Dawson, so a lucky guess!

Norman Lumsden was an actor whose main claim to fame was to appear in a single iconic UK TV advert. In 2015 the advert was voted the 5th most popular TV advert. When he died, the advert was replayed in tribute.

What was the TV advert, and what was unusual about it?

Two guesses at opposite ends of the age spectrum - the original milky bar kid or JR Hartley from the yellow pages advert.

But I think there were more than one milky bar advert so I’ll go for JR Hartley

Yes it was dear old JR Hartley. The unusual spin-off was that the advert centred on a made-up book called 'Fly Fishing' which then made it into print.

Please take the floor.

Can I try a literary question?

Who wrote Playing for Pizza, The Painted House and Calico Joe, the subjects of which are not the usual fare for this author?

I believe it was john Grisham when he delved into American Football & Baseball ?

It was indeed. He is more famous for his tales of lawyers and para-legals in Mississippi and the southern states of the USA. My Learned Friend, please take the floor.
