They could do with a 2nd 31 and run occasional railtours when not carrying out other duties

As I understand it there is only one mainline 31 at present, 31128 at Nemesis Rail, so perhaps the two of them could possibly work together in future, I also believe that 31190 is up for sale at the moment so who knows .......

Reported a few days ago on WNXX (subscription section) that mainline registered 31452 has been moved into a newly formed pool, ERSL, along with 08870, the pool has been created for Eastern Rail Services, an interesting one to keep an eye on

Is that the outfit that are based at Yarmouth @ExRes?
I actually saw 31452 arrive at Okehampton on its last mainline trip. It’ll be good to see it out and about again.

That's the boys, be interesting to see if the 31 is going there to provide train heat or for mainline use

I hadn’t even heard of them until a couple of weeks ago, they seem like quite an interesting operation.

Mentioned on the wnxx forum that it was keeping its mainline registration and equipment.

Obviously it's the intention of using 31452 on the mainline, otherwise all the mainline equipment would be stripped out.

The big question is when is this loco and the stock at Okehampton and MQ, most of which is alledgedly owned by RMS/ERSL it's new owners and has not turned a wheel for a year, going to be finally moved and to where ?

They are moving to the carriage sidings at Great Yarmouth. They did have a base at the Weardale Railway.

Eastern Rail Services Ltd ( a Company within Proviso Holdings with a Reg. Address in Chesterfield )
appear to lease 3 sdgs, which are now pretty full of stock, in the long closed Vauxhall Carriage sdgs at Great Yarmouth, which are now owned by Norfolk County Council.

Amlag - that isn’t correct. You’re thinking of RMS not ERS. ERS does partly own RMS just to make things more confusing but ERS is not Proviso Holdings.

Also there are 6 sidings at Yarmouth not 3 and there’s space for around 150 vehicles so with around 20 on site it’s a long way to go before being full..

Reported on WNXX (subscription section) that 31190 has been moved from Weardale by Allely's, firstly to their base at Studley and then on to the Plym Valley Railway after Easter, it appears that the 31 has been privately purchased and will undergo a full inspection to determine the level of work required for a return to operational condition

Unless the price was incredibly attractive those tasks look to be the wrong way round

Unless they had a rough idea of it's general condition and now this is the detailed inspection to allow them to make a plan of where to start and establish how long it will take?

If anyone uses (apologies in advance) TikTok then have a look at saintluke1’s account. He’s a trucker who has been hauling 31452 around and he has recorded some amazing videos.

EDIT: It seems I can share links here:
EDIT2: Link below goes direct to the trucker’s account and 31190 also features.
