Really? Can't see how people have got through with nothing, especially when there has been no mention on this forum as such.

I understand those with OPC passes being pushed to the front of the queue.

I just hope there is chance for 1st applicants like myself.
There is a chance, as you can see above one poster on this forum is at the DMI stage. There will be a fair few others off the forum at the same stage. There will also be internals presumably.

Nowadays companies love people with psychometric passes, if they’ve got courses planned they’re already investing in those courses - they need guaranteed candidates and with psychometrics potentially weeding out anywhere from 70-95%, most would just go for those who already have them! Sadly with the amount of talent pools around there are plenty of people with everything they need to get going.

I applied to the most recent vacancy and didn’t have previous assessments, nor did I already work for the company. The process and timeline has been a pleasant surprise so far.

Does anyone know if you get any questions wrong in the 2nd questionnaire (get to know about you) that the Chances are that you have failed?

Pretty much every stage is pass or fail in this game, if a human isn’t checking it to progress you onwards a computer is. If you don’t give the answers they want it will be a fail.

Keep in mind that everyone was a ‘first applicant’ at some point. Some people have been sitting in a talent pool for years waiting for a course date so the process is as fair as it can be and is pretty much on a first come first served basis. But new applicants always get through the process as well and I’ve seen it a few times myself. Keep your chin up, you’ll get your opportunity my friend. 8-)

Should I be hearing back either way?

Yes, although as some have suggested this may take some time. The next training course is due to start in September so there is no particular urgency required at this stage and the people involved in the recruitment process are very busy dealing with other things.

Not sure if everyone will hear back as the email did say; "Some people will hear back, and others will not.
Candidates need to be patient, and if successful, will hear back from us."

Some applicants have already received emails telling them they were unsuccessful.

OPC and MMI done today. Feel pretty shocked having passed all the assessments first time round. Hopefully good news in the next couple of days following the MMI. For those who have upcoming assessments, wear something warm as the building is quite cold.

Has anyone heard anything yet about Moor Street ?

Been another week and still nothing as of yet.

Cheers !

DH
No I'm still eagerly waiting. But not checking for emails quite as often now. Come to the fact we will hear when the time is right and not to think too much into it.

Just thought I’d update on my process so far, as I understand how frustrating it is waiting around for any sort of response. I applied for both Banbury and Moor Street, I haven’t heard anything for Moor Street but was told I’d been progressed for Banbury last week. I completed the VSE test Monday and was informed today I had passed and have now booked a DMI slot in the next couple of weeks.
Thought I'd update with how I got on. I was successful at DMI and was told I'd be progressed to the talent pool. A week later, I had a DMI with XC and was fortunate enough to have been successful at that also. I have chosen to go forward with XC. Good luck to everyone and hopefully there's some movement soon at the other depots.

Has anyone received any follow up for Marylebone? Apart from the initial ‘get to know’ you questionnaire I’ve not heard a peep.

How long have you been waiting? It's possible that they're still going through the initial batch of questionnaires because I only received the second one last week and I completed it on Monday.

End of Jan. It's been a while. I know the process can be slow so I'm not too worried but I guess I just wanted an understanding if I had been removed from the process without being notified. Not everyone will receive a response but I can see that my application on the DB website still shows 'in process'.

Which location?

Anyone heard anything back from Aylesbury recently? I’ve only received and filled out the first 2 questionnaires.

Marylebone.

They are being quite slow tbh. My friend also applied in January but hasn't received any updates yet after the second questionnaire.
I haven't even had the second questionnaire yet. Just the first 'more about you' questionnaire. Thanks for the feedback.

As I understand it the next 'school' they are currently recruiting for begins in September. So no huge rush just yet, even allowing for successful candidates to give 3 month's notice at their current employer.

Hi, I’ve only filled out the getting to know you questionnaire so far. It still says application in process when I log on, so there may still be hope!

Congrats on passing all of your tests in 1 day! Did they tell you after each test you had passed? Did you hear back from your MMI?

Thank you and yes they told me after each stage (there were 2 stages) that I passed. I heard back that I passed the MMI the next day.
