Getting people back on trains as lockdown eases.

I could well just drive to the north west on the last weekend of the month as the combination of what we have spoken about and the lack of advance fares still will do it. Can’t even get early morning options to appear and off peak return fares to Stockport are now £94

Ah I see that makes sense, I couldn’t make the jump to the cab missing but I guess. They are always going so fast when they pass!

I like to avoid the annoyance as I know I can’t zone out from it and it just makes me think bloody covid which I think we’ve all had enough of! Quick question on the new units, I see them fly through Cheshunt when I got to the park. How come only some of the carriages share bogies?

Well I went on LO on Saturday and the messaging was annoying, happy to be correct if GA don’t do it. One mans bombardment is another mans light shower. I do my upmost to avoid Covid messaging when I leave the house so that means I’ve been restricted to walking the park for months.

Getting people back on trains as lockdown eases.

I’ve kept my train journeys to a minimum as I don’t like the bombardment of safety messages and so if a TOC is actively spending money on TV ads about it I assume the attitude of the staff and messaging in station and on board to match (rightly or wrongly) Hope to be back soon though! I fancy a...

Keir Starmer and the Labour Party’s stance during the pandemic.

I wasn’t implying anything of the sort. The sealing of borders is another thing the locktivists were chasing that is in cloud cuckoo land. Locktivists cry for more and harder lockdowns but in fact there is a list of caveats to what they want that they don’t mention. These things are NOT...

Keir Starmer and the Labour Party’s stance during the pandemic.

Well maybe if we weren’t supporting you for six months then maybe you’d have a more open mind to other possibilities I’m not sitting here with a full plan in a document but I open to considering other avenues of action. Your insistence in bringing India into the picture leads me to dismiss...

Keir Starmer and the Labour Party’s stance during the pandemic.

I mean that locktivists are quite happy for the people who keep our water clean and running to carry on working as it suits them and they’re at home comfortable position. Surely a proper lockdown and these people should be at home too just like the seal the border folks, no more imports. This...

Keir Starmer and the Labour Party’s stance during the pandemic.

Well the pro lockdown folks are very happy that their take ways and Amazon deliveries are being made. They’re also happy that their rubbish is being collect, their water being supplied and treated and the electricity is still flowing from their sockets. They don’t give a fig for the income of...

That’s got more holes in it than Swiss cheese “Closer to your opinion” but not my opinion and in a completely different environment so in your words - nonsense

Neither of you have explained the relevance of the current India situation and that of the UK.

After the first lockdown there would have been no further ones. That specifically

Keeping people working not just the ones needed to serve the well to do. Protecting the extremely vulnerable and keeping the country running.

Many with furlough will lose their jobs, it will have just cost the economy a stack of cash to get to the same point. The difference being the economy will be a lot worst state to try and get them new jobs. Nothing supportive of the working classes in that line of thinking

I’m very pleased to have received a leaflet through the door yesterday (the only one so far) from an independent candidate for both my council and county council. I have met the chap when I was chairman of our residents association, I think he was a Conservative councillor. I’m luck as I then...

At risk of getting a Penalty Charge Notice for parking in the East Finchley station car park?

Oops! I’ve used it a few times whilst going to Wembley, plenty of spots near Stanmore tube.
