Do you think that the UK switching to electric vehicles is realistic?

But if you only do 7800 miles a year, then the higher purchase or lease cost of an EV over an ICE would not make it worth your while. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/net-zero/electric-car-calculator/

    London Buses Discussion

The contract is for 7 years which suggests in is definitely electric buses. Does Uno have any existing double deck electrics? If not, I am not sure if there are any second hand electrics on the market, so I assume they are new buses.

I hope it's not through Blackwall Tunnel since it is too low for double deckers in one direction!

Driving well below the speed limit

Or not anticipating that the sun will be in their eyes when turning a corner if it had previously been shining to one side. 1744022698 One I came across yesterday was a 50 mph zone suddenly reducing to 20mph. There should either be an advance notice, say 300 yards out, or the zones should...

(WMR) Accidentally been using 16-17 railcard instead of the [valid] 16-25 railcard for around a month now for weekly season tickets

Did she ask for any evidence to support your address, e.g. driving licence? In which case, the chances are that she will have the right address. If you gave street name and post code, she must have asked for house number. These three facts should enable post to get to you.

(WMR) Accidentally been using 16-17 railcard instead of the [valid] 16-25 railcard for around a month now for weekly season tickets

I appreciate that you are anxious, but there really isn't anything you can do right now, except to start saving. The train company or its agents will contact you and ask you for your version of the events, but this can take a few weeks. Provided you engage positively with them, are truthful...

Solar panels on roofs too often look like a bolt -on. I'm sure that there could be a better design to make solar panels look attractive and an integral part of the house.

In the light of the OP's response in post #11, is this still your advice?

UPDATE: Received an email regarding shortfaring after receiving a letter for the same. Advice needed.

Can you clarify if there were two separate instances of short-faring, one you have settled, and one relating to the email you received today, or just the one incident? I was confused by why you thought you may have to pay £175 twice.

Cancelled journeys or delayed journeys? You can't claim Delay Repay if your train was cancelled and you did not travel. If you were delayed because your train was cancelled, and you caught a later one, that is legit.

Do the police keep the fines levied, or do they go to the Exchequer? If the police keep the income, they could possibly be self-financing. (I can't remember when I last saw a patrol car on the motorway - Highways England patrols yes, but not traffic cops.)

Driving well below the speed limit

Maybe they were in limp mode, or experiencing range anxiety in an EV? Yesterday I followed a car on the A22 which was steadfastly doing 30mph or less in a 50 mph zone. No chance for overtaking.
