    Another Landslip: Hassocks/Burgess Hill area

I can verify it was a pain being caught up in it coming back from Brighton. Not sure if overtime ban impacted, but being cancelled at 3 bridges, no real info on best options. I ended up on a Victoria service, not really where i wanted 2 go

London to Munich by train - Eurostar connection/what to do if delayed.

Thanks. I have now booked direct with DB, seems to state 2 separate contracts (Eurostar & DB). But a lot cheaper than my other options, so hope all works. I'll update thread if i do have any issues (travelling 16th April, return 18th). Each ticket for a train journey documents a single...

London to Munich by train - Eurostar connection/what to do if delayed.

Thanks, that is what i was looking for. Much difference between 1st and 2nd class on ICE? Thinking of paying the extra. 1710585500 I have looked into Cologne option. When you had your issues missing the connection, how much hassle (or cost) did you have resolving?

    Stansted Airport fines

You can use contactless to get on those trains too. I've certainly seen people at Chelmsford trying to use contactless to exit.

    Beaulieu Park Station Construction

There does need to be a better solution. Line is closed from Witham to London all weekends in Feb. So that is not even an option. I did see somewhere else that passengers from Chelmsford pay the most per KM to London......yet get a 5 days a week service. As a Chelmsford commuter, Post Covid...

    Sold out trains

I had this last year travelling to Liverpool on a Monday. All off peak trains b4 3pm sold out. After much faff, found a website that allowed me to buy an off peak return. Got a table seat to myself......Makes me wonder how much revenue they are turning down by effectively telling people not to...

ECML Signalling Failure Between Newcastle and Durham

Yeah. Their was very little communication at Newcastle or York.......a mix of guessing, using Real Time Trains, and knowing other people on trains from Newcastle helped me. But i'm nerdy enough with no real rush to get home, 2 understand/take an educated guess.

ECML Signalling Failure Between Newcastle and Durham

Which took 2.5 hours. But was actually comfortable. Bit chaotic at York, but a random Lumo started from/departed York at 16.11......empty, save myself and about 8 others on carraige B.
