When was CrossCountry planning to increase to 4 diagrams (I know that plan has now been scrapped)? I wonder whether the 11:05 was the planned service for one of the additional diagrams in which case that would explain why it is timed for the IC125. Anyone know if my guess is correct?

Mine were from a very quick look at the seat plans - just looking at the highest seat number in each coach (which obviously doesn't give a 100% accurate answer since some seat numbers are missing on some coaches).

Wouldn't a double Voyager (10 coaches) provide more capacity for the busiest arrivals/departures than XC's 2+7 sets? What is it, about 455 seats on the 2+7, about 220 seats on a 4-car Voyager and about 290 seats on a 5-car Voyager (so 580 seats on a 10-car formation)? If my numbers are correct...

I noticed the WCR train did not have a DVT and was not top & tailed. I assume Euston doesn't have points near the buffers to allow a loco to run-round, since the Caly sleepers use a second loco to haul the train into the platform. So, what hauled the WCR train back out?
