172/1s in West Midlands Railway livery

A friend just told me that the 172/1s are now in WMR livery (but still with Chiltern interiors). Does anyone have or know of any photos of these? Thanks either way

They are indeed all in WMR purple, with Chiltern blue seats I'm surprised I haven't made the effort to take a photo of a /1 in its new colour scheme yet, I've had them a few times since they got done.

Best I could do this morning, this was 172103 at Hereford before it shunted out to go over to platform 3. I was getting on the train before it left, otherwise I'd have tried for better angles etc.

Thanks for the photo Techniquest, they look good but I wonder why the unit numbers are in the generic font and not the one used for the numbers on the other 172 subclasses (and the refurbished 350s).

Well, the 172s are the same as EMR 222s, SR 170s and SWR 159s then, on which it appears to be random whether the number’s in company font or something plain.

I guess it could be down to what they had in stock with the numbers?
