Yeah, looks like they might be going into consecutive fleet numbers since there's quite a big gap between that and the current numbers

I wonder if they will track correctly as quickly as they got renumbered too ;)
Well, 3709 was out and about this morning. Even left the bus station and went down the Morledge. On what is another matter

Actually I suspect given when it left, it worked the 11.35 X38 that should have left Derby Bus Station

Suspect so as one of the X38 buses is tracking as the spare ticket machine.

It may have already been covered, but why is Derby gaining Pulsars from Liverpool, is it to see off the Scanias?

There was a suggestion that Derby drivers wanted the Scanias gone, so they are getting an Arriva style upgrade.

No, this wasn’t the case.

Many drivers prefer the Scanias, most mersey transfers are arriving with defects, 3708 is just extremely slow & 3709s reversing ‘gear’ doesn’t work correctly, but hey atleast it’ll keep the engineers busy!

3006 onwards are still in use and expected to move to Arriva North East, this in turn is said to see some Stockton Streetlites move to Laird Street. Wythenshawe final month is now, the probable thing to leave play out before anything else changes.
There's a combination of various things going on at North East - believe a batch of VDL/Wright head north east, as well as 10 new Volvo B8RLE/MCV, which will release a batch of StreetLites to Merseyside and replace the very much non-standard Temsa Avenues. Either way, that's likely to require more than 20 VDLs.

Those Temsa Avenues seemed to just keep running. Were they worth buying? I.e value for money?

I presume the fire earlier in the year also had some affect on the decision as well.
Ah yes, the fire under the closed multi storey car park. Seems to recall there was another, less serious one in the bus station.

Ah I was driving behind 3708 today and wondered why it was so slow, I thought it was a new driver being cautious.

Had quite a few visits the last six years or so to sample them, photograph etc, very solid buses and reliable and the better ones climb hills on the X4 and X93/X94 better than any of the more common types. I found this year they are starting to suffer from lack of work been done to them to keep them good, one kept having a fault with overheating, kept getting sent out and playing up, rather than resolve the issue let it play up and swap it, saw three times, twice when aboard. I understand some parts are no longer available from Temsa and been non standard are the reasons cited to replace, that's fair enough. I heard locally suggestions they had looked to get another 2 or 3 years more out of them when under DB.

As for the Pulsars, I rate Pulsars highly but the ex Stockton ones at Redcar are some of the poorest examples sampled sadly, run down, lack of refurbishment and sorting the basics on them, but some have improved on later visits.

I'd say the Temsas are as solid and lasted well in comparison to the large batch of 09 plate Versas still with Midlands.

Unfortunately not, was talking to a friend of mine & he said it’s one of the slowest… isn’t a shock considering it’s from Merseyside.

Can on

Pretty much the same as Derbys ex Merseyside examples, pretty sure most have had the same seats since new, atleast our Scanias had a refurb around 5/6 years ago.

It's supposedly 30 not 20 coming to the North East according to this - https://www.northeastbuses.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=4575&pid=314574#pid314574

3x Solo's (4 needed though) - Ashington
2x Enviro 300's - Darlington
1x Centro - Redcar
23x Temsa - Redcar
10x Streetlite - Stockton

That's what is supposedly going out and it all adds up.
