why has 044 lost 2 of its carriages???According to the diagram for 044, it has lost 2 carriages at Widnes
Have either 009 or 044 re-entered service or are both still at Edge Hill?

390050 departed Widnes this morning and is the 39th train to complete refurbishment. 390006 has gone into Widnes.
The four refurbished 9-car trains are 390009, 390044, 390045 and 390050.

It was suggested by the project manager that there was an aspiration to do the 9 car units in a week in the initial video detailing the refurbishment back in July 2021.

Current unit is 390016, due out this weekend (18/11/23).
This will be the 6th refurbished 9-car set; 390006, 390009, 390016, 390044, 390045 & 390050.
The programme is due to complete in June 2024.
Happening tomorrow now instead.

I was very unlucky yesterday having had 390001 from Stockport to London and 390046 back. The unrefurbished sets are really looking dated now. Were the 20:13 Euston to Manchester not cancelled, I think I would have had a 11-car.

According to Realtime Trains 390016 is on 9G30 1536 London Euston to Birmingham New Street today (Thursday 23 November 2023) so it has returned to traffic. 390040 is not in traffic today so presumably at Widnes as predicted above.
