I only managed one run behind an 85/1. Happily for me when I checked the renumbering list it was a loco I hadn't had as a /0. Details somewhere up thread!* First 85/1 for haulage
I remember it was certainly the Hull train and it was that sort of time, so I'll take that. Thanks. A new loco scored 38 years ago!The ‘RailGenArchive’ shows 47137 on 1E33 16:35 Carlisle-Hull on 10 August 1984. Was that your train!

Did the 20s use the bay platforms at Crewe, with the 08 station pilot releasing and shunting the stock? This happened earlier that year when I was on a 47 hauled Derby-Crewe DMU substitute.Saturday 12 August 1989

During that fortnight , i think the odd one was used, but on the whole, it was just another pair that dropped on - P4 was the regular and P1 were the typical ones, i think even P2 was used once!Did the 20s use the bay platforms at Crewe, with the 08 station pilot releasing and shunting the stock?
