Probably had my last C-Stock journey on Saturday, between Putney Bridge and Earls Court. Unlike the 1967 and A Stock, I will not be sad to see these go, as they've been in an absolutely lamentable condition the last few years.
I recently watched some video of the C stock from the 1990's.
Now thats when they were really bad... graffitti, etched paintwork, etc. At least though they had nice transverse seating.
A short clip of this will be in my 'S stock contrasts and variations' film, when I finally finish it!
just gotta script and image the bit about the rich heritage of trains used on the subsurface lines over the years. Its a shame that I cant show the F stock or anything from the early days of electrification. I've got a little CO/CP stock footage from when I was a teenager; will use that when talking about the ATO on the District Line. To return to this thread, yes there will be some C stock too, albeit when it was in full service / not scrapped units.
