Anyone remember when Centrebus used to run the 19 from Nottingham to Peterborough
I think it was another number, which became 'Double Two', then the Two.Trentbarton two from memory has always been Nottingham to Ilkeston
Now Centrebus just run Nottingham to Melton Mowbray, about every 3 hours.Anyone remember when Centrebus used to run the 19 from Nottingham to Peterborough
Correct (or Barton more accurately) edit: just seen Deerfold's post. That used to be Trentbarton route No2 did it not?
The 9 between Oakham and Stamford these days is operated by Rutland County Council using a minibus, but is very poorly advertised, apparently to avoid the service becoming too popular due to the limited capacity available on board. Thanks for the clarification
And I believe the 9 between Oakham and Stamford exists in some form or another.
Centrebus have also introduced the 28 into Stamford last year
Yes, did it from Nottingham to Peterborough circa 2016/7 for the experience. I was amazed on three counts; 1) it only cost £5.50, 2) it was pretty quiet and 3) I actually enjoyed three hours on an Enviro 200!!Anyone remember when Centrebus used to run the 19 from Nottingham to Peterborough

Actually, the 9xx numbering range was for double deckers and coaches, and there was some logic applied within that - more specifically, it ended up as 90x (and 910) being for Scanias, the rest of 91x being for Enviro400’s, 92x/93x being for Volvos and 99x for coaches. (997/8/9 were also used for some short term loans.)I notice that Centrebus group are using 4 figure fleetnumbers for new deliveries. Is this is a sign of the fleet(s) being renumbered? For example, the 9xx are used for Scania 94s, Scania 230s, Enviro 400s, Volvo B7TL and B9TLs. Surely this is the ideal time to number the fleet to get rid of these anomalies?

From the 27th April, the route and timetable for the Orbital service will be split to help improve reliability on the service.
The 40N (Northern Orbital) will operate between General Hospital and Glenfield Hospital
The 40S (Southern Orbital) will operate between Hamilton, Tesco and Beaumont Leys.
The service will continue to operate on an hourly basis on each service, Monday to Saturday, with significant improvement to reliability. Passengers travelling directly between Hamilton and Leicester General Hospital, and Beaumont Leys and Glenfield Hospital, will have the benefit of an increased frequency by being able to travel on either service.
Please note that the Northern (40N) and Southern (40S) Orbitals are not designed to connect in any way and through fares are not available to purchase.
The Orbital service continues to be a service which the city council supports and we are committed to transform it through increased frequency, more electric buses and bus priority. The first stage of our plan was delivered in October 2022, with the launch of new electric buses and the rebranding of the service.
We are currently trialling the split of the Orbital service, so it operates as a Northern and Southern Orbital to help improve reliability on the service, with an added benefit of an increase in frequency in some of the overlapping sections of the two services.
Our next phase, which includes an increase in frequency for the whole service, is hoped to be delivered by 2028.
