Get ready to zap
York and Leeds get closer from Easter Sunday, 27 March as comfy, fast buses zap between the cities, quicker than ever before!
And you'll have no excuse not to try Cityzap - with all fares just £1 in the first week, and free travel for rail ticket holders until the end of April, everyone can get zapping about for little or nothing at all!
Buses fitted with zap-navs
Each Cityzap bus is fitted with a sat-nav so your driver can pick the quickest route between York and Leeds. So it's just like driving your car - only much better.
Zap every 30 mins
Cityzap runs around every 30 mins from first thing in the morning until around 7pm, with buses running into the evening and as late as 3am on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday is a day of zapping too - every hour.
Coastliner is our friend
We work together with Coastliner to bring you departures every 15 mins from York or Leeds during the day, Mon-Sat, and every 30 mins on Sundays. You can also use your return or season ticket on Coastliner, and vice versa.
Zap to Leeds
We stop in Leeds bus station, convenient for all this great city has to offer - right next to Leeds Market, or just a 5 minute walk to Trinity Leeds and the Corn Exchange, or a few mins longer to City Square, train station, the Merrion Centre and First Direct Arena. Cityzap also stops at City Square after midnight.
Zap to York
As well as handy city centre stops at Stonebow, Bridge Street, Rougier Street and the train station, we also make handy stops along Tadcaster Road on our quick way in and out of the city, including at York College and York Racecouse.
Zap til late - really late!
On Fridays and Saturday nights, if you want to make it a late one, we're still zapping every hour to get you home. The last Cityzap from York is at 2am, and from Leeds it's at 3am. Plus we also include extra stops in Leeds around City Square to save your legs from the bars, and can drop you off in Tadcaster after midnight too - just ask the driver.
Zap in comfort
Mmm, leather! That's right - each Cityzap bus is full of comfy coach leather seats on board, well spaced out with a range of single and double seats upstairs.
Zap up with USB points
Charge up your phone or tablet, there's a free USB power point at every seat! Plus, of course, free 4G wifi to keep you connected.
The friendliest zappers around
Your personal Cityzap chauffeurs want to get to know you, and we want you to know them. They've been hand-picked and are dedicated to Cityzap - there to serve and keep you happy. And get you zapping along too, of course!
Zap on the app
This website and new Cityzap app (coming very soon on Google Play and the App Store) will keep you posted with live departure times from any stop of your choice. We've got to keep you moving!
You can also buy tickets the easy way on your mobile. Search for the Yorkshire Bus app on Google Play or in the App Store.
