Yeah I did, on a York to Hull service.
If you’re going towards Hull, sit on the right of the train. If you’re going towards York or Leeds, sit on the left. If you’re on a service from York though, make sure it calls at (or passes through) Sherburn-in-Elmet, otherwise it doesn’t go past Gascoigne Wood.

I've not been out much, Covid once again, are the non-Renatus units still in use? 481/901 have been stopped for a while now, wondered if any others are parked-up now.

In post 17038 of the Non Urgent TOPS requests forum I posted today’s allocations.

I note that 321306 and 321326 never seem to turn up in service when requested on the TOPS queries page. Are these two effectively finished?

5Q86 RT passed Ilford station.
5Q86 1104 Ilford E.M.U.D passed through Highbury and lslington on time with 322481 leading 321901 for scrap.
The first of the ex Northern/Anglia ones to go for scrap. Also the first of the Class 322 class to go for scrap. Hauled by it had to be 37884 CEPHEUS grim reaper. 3 years ago in 2019. They was just finishing on Northern. However survived a further 3 years near enough on Abeillo Anglia. However for 322481 has covered many different areas and some back and forth. 322481 started
And got withdrawn on its own natural territory. More ironically
Sharing the same withdrawal fate of the 317s on the Stansted line. Of when it first started out on. Sharing with 317s. But with the same toc Abeillo Anglia still working alongside the 317s at London liverpool Street etc. But both of the above ie for example have also just sadly left us in time.

It remarkable how much of Britain the 322s have seen, given that GA and LTS were eyeing them up when they were moved off the Stanex trains originally, they even made a brief cameo on GA in 2004 when they were used to replace the last slam-door diagram.

However, the Stanex service was shared with 321s at first, the 317/1s arriving on West Anglia from late in 1991 until they'd sent the 310s off to LTS then the 321s to GA to join the rest of the Dusty Bins later in 1992. Which released some of the earliest 312s from Clacton to East Ham.
The general rule with stock cascades back then was GA/GN/WCML South get the brand new ones, then everyone else grabs the best of what's left before sending their old rubbish off to the LTS who in turn sent their old rust buckets up north.*

*Before asking for them back for a bit while they can find out how to make their Electrostars work.

A 322 made it to Norwich in 1999 coupled to a 317. There's a photo of it arriving at Ipswich, see this thread.

I don’t suppose anyone knows 321901 + 322481’s last revenue earning service?

Once Greater Anglia has withdrawn the lot, would I be right in saying that the only 321s to be retained will be x30 Renatus units, and any to be converted to Class 600 or Swift Express.

I am guessing the Scottish 320/4s were ex 321/4s from the WCML, rather than the indigenous 321/3 ?

322s and 317s made regular visits to Norwich during the summer of 1999 when the off peak frequency was increased to two trains per hour. They stood in for the late arrival of the 170s (although nowhere near as late as the introduction of new trains these days). I recall travelling on a 317/322 combination on the 23:30.
