Shame this doesn’t include the 357 interiors as they could do with a bit of a fresh clean. The seats are horrid for starters

I think the c2c Class 357s are in dire need of some internal and external attention, the interiors seem ever increasingly dark and tired. I would be interested to see a Class 357 in c2c Trenitalia pink and white livery akin to the 720s!

No help for Derby then - the announcement says the work will be done at Ilford (not really a surprise).

I'm sure the Huck Bolt issue has previously been covered, IIRC Modern Railways covered that a few years ago and pointed out they were receiving corrosion repairs then. :s

This is good to see. I like the 357s but they’re definitely starting to show their age. This refresh should definitely get a good few more years out of them.

Will the interiors at least be getting a deep clean or is that not in the scope either?

I was hoping that their mid-life refresh would at least see the installation of plug sockets and USB charging ports for passengers to use, if not also colour screens for onward travel information, such as TfL line status information, but alas, that seems not to be the case.

why, im getting sick and tired of the current interior with the greyish magenta

i find it weird that there is no pictures of the first few refreshed units

Let’s face it, GBR will probably be something like all over white (which I know is hated but I actually think looks very smart if kept clean), with blue or red doors, so it’d be very easy to just peel the pink stripe vinyl off and repaint the doors if necessary.

Agreed, I think the Thameslink 700 livery or Northern livery with that just has the splashes of colour look very smart when clean.

Does anyone know which unit has been been repainted/refurbished as per the picture earlier in the thread?

I might sound dumb but judging by how southeastern is nationalised, it might not affect c2c to much?
Right?
The paint warranty for the 375s is likely still in place and therefore no repainting will take place for a while. Of course, it will be quite a few years before GBR will exist as a brand, and we have no idea what the final implementation of its branding will be.

The oldest 375s are now 25 years old, with the newest at 20 years old. I'd say there's not a chance paint warranty is still in place.

You are forgetting the large refurbishment and repaint project that started in ~2016.

For which the paint warranty has likely expired too, given intervals between C6 repairs are around 6-8 years.
